I’m Rachel Bernasconi. French-speaking because I was born and raised in Lausanne, Switzerland, but of Italian origins – my father was an architect in Northern Italy -, I’ve been in love with fashion since infancy and am now a high-end fashion stylist designing unique dresses of exquisite elegance for sensual and refined women.
After completing an apprenticehip in a Lausanne fashion house I moved to Ticino, where I earned a degree as a stylist from the School of Garment Technicians (Scuola Tecnici dell’Abbigliamento). Following a few short stints of practical experience and particularly an embroidery course in France, where I did work on commission, I started tackling a more important and ambitious project: creating a shop of my own.
Eventually, on the shores of Lake Lugano I did open a small shop where, giving free rein to my phantasy, I am now designing, shaping, sewing and embroidering beautiful exclusive creations.
My inspirations grow out of and are tied mainly to silk fabrics, providing me with ideas for unique and superlative creations intended for customers seeking exclusive haute-couture items.
